Value Analysisplus

This efficient tool to reduce cost is based on the instruments of value analysis, CIP/LEAN methods and tools, purchased parts analysis and technology benchmark. Functional requirements and constructive features are critically examined regarding their necessity.

Content / Structure

  • Training of participants including practical exercises and explanation of procedures; target group: staff members from development, engineering, sales, assembly and manufacturing
  • Definition of analyzed products and / or product families, objectives and performance indicators
  • Analysis of initial product features and realized production processes (analysis of product, functional costs, processes and weaknesses)
  • Depiction / visualization of current state using methods that are determined individually (e.g. function tree, ABC Analysis, FMEA)
  • Identification of cost driver and prioritization of work packages
  • Gathering of ideas and specification of improvement actions using U² checklists and experience catalogues.
  • Merging of ideas into an optimal concept
  • Estimation of risk (expenses, timeline, responsibilities)
  • Implementation plan for existing products and bundling of actions for future products which are determined based on economic and market analysis.

What do you get on top of this?

By using U² checklists, method know-how and experience catalogues we proceed systematically without losing our sense for pragmatism when improving products and defining optimal processes. The dynamic of such workshops increases by the immediate implementation of ideas which can be realized in short terms.
